Stott Pilates®
Reformer lesson.
What can you do on the reformer?
The traditional Pilates method is a unique system of muscle-strengthening and relaxation exercises. There are no fewer than 500 exercises:
a section of floor exercises (on the mat)
a section using specially designed equipment.
Of all the apparatus designed by Joseph Pilates, the reformer occupies the most prominent place.
Depending on the participant's level, a series of exercises are performed at various levels (basic, intermediate, and advanced). Each participant trains at their own individual level. Even on the reformer, constant attention is required during the execution of each movement. Each workout focuses on a personalized and balanced combination of control, precision, breathing, and fluid movement. The possibilities are almost endless, and the goal is to create a "flow" throughout the workout.
The reformer works on muscle endurance, strength and tone, improves flexibility, and challenges coordination and control. The springs on the machine provide support and resistance. The workout is tailored to the individual needs of the participant and is ideal for back, neck, and shoulder pain and reduced flexibility.
The results achieved with this are therefore impressive!
The reformer delivers quick results.
On the reformer, anyone – young, old, round, thin, fit or untrained, injured or recovering – can start Pilates.
The genius of this equipment is that you get results very quickly.
I teach small groups of up to four people per class. This way, you get the best guidance during your workout.
